The Food Bank of Central New York is gearing up for yet another week of helping SNAP recipients amid the government shutdown. There are several food distributions this week in the region.


Food pantries 

Food pantries in Onondaga County include:

Abundant Life Christian Center Food Pantry in East Syracuse 

Believers' Chapel Care Connection Pantry in Cicero

  • Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Manna from God Food Pantry in Nedrow 

  • Thursday, Nov. 13 at 10 am. – 12 p.m.

North Syracuse Christian Church Food Pantry in North Syracuse 

  • Monday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Syracuse Northeast Community Center in Syracuse 

  • Monday, Nov. 10 and Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Church of the Holy Family Food Pantry in Syracuse 

  • Monday, Nov. 10 – Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Mexico Food Pantry in Oswego 

  • Wednesday, Nov. 12 and Thursday, Nov. 13 at 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. 

  • Menu to pre-order is in box outside of the pantry.

Amboy Center UMC Pantry in Williamstown 

  • Friday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Sandy Creek Food Pantry 

  • Monday, Nov. 10 – Friday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Salvation Army of Oswego Food Pantry in Oswego 

  • Tuesday, Nov. 11 –  Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. 

Mobile food pantries 

The Food Bank of Central New York is using its Mobile Food Pantry this week to help out SNAP recipients. There will be four different stops around the region.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m.

The Garden at St. Anthony’s in Syracuse 

  • Thursday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. 

Mobile pantries in Madison County include:

Family Health Center in Munnsville 

  • Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m.

Mobile pantries in Oswego County include:

Oswego Alliance Church in Oswego 

  • Friday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m.

Appleseed Community Dinner in Syracuse 

  • Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Southside Church of Christ SK in Syracuse 

  • Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11:15 a.m. –2 p.m.
