FINDING SELF-CONFIDENCE

Working as University Girl Magazine's Copy Editor as well as a Print and Digital Writer this past semester has been nothing short of rewarding. This is my article featured in this semester's print edition "Unfiltered". I decided to focus on Confidence, for in today's culture confidence is easily diminished by societal expectations and distractions. Confidence is a vital asset when developing one's sense of self. I am extremely proud of the way I was recently promoted to Managing Copy Editor. I joined UGirl because I came to college looking for a community of like minded and driven individuals. At UGirl, I found exactly what I was looking for. I aspire to inspire with my writing and University Girl has helped me reach a wider and appreciative audience. It’s extremely refreshing to be surrounded by such a supportive group of people who believe in you and your work. At University Girl, personal success is collaborative success, which is beautiful. Our passion for writing is evident, our friendships are pure and the genuine effort to produce relatable, engaging and raw media is powerful. I am forever grateful to do what I love within an organization that I adore. I am fortunate to be a UGirl.
